Prologue.

Saturday, March 20, 2010

I am sorry this has to be about you.

YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE.
YOU ARE RIDICULOUS.
YOU ARE UNFATHOMABLE.

YOU ARE ALWAYS LIVING IN YOUR OWN WORLD.
YOU ARE OBLIVIOUS TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
YOU ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN YOUR OWN AFFAIRS.

YOU DISREGARD THE REST OF THE WORLD.

YOU SIT ON BOTH SIDES.

Could you just put your phone down for a minute, like seriously?

Knock me over.

And pour me out.
Out of reality, and into surreality.

Not too long ago, I told a friend my holidays have been pretty fulfilling so far. I did not give it a penny for thoughts, not until now. I reckon it lies in the angle of my perception.

I need to read and escape from this seemingly cold world encircled by warmth.

Lady luck smiled boys.

I have been sailing on a lucky streak today. Trimming long story short, I saw a couple of guys who caught my eye today.

The very first was a small boy, probably the age of four, and he was the cutest thing a mother can ever beg for. It was easy to discern how obedient and curious he is as a young child. Blessed with fair skin and good looks, he is bound to evolve into a handsome young lad.

Just when I thought my day kicked off well, it simply got better. A duo, presumably gays, boarded the train and stood right in front of me.

Initially, I was disgusted by one of them who dressed in tight-fitting, chest-revealing, V-neck red t-shirt, tucked into his jeans, with a slight belly protruding. But when I managed to catch their accent even whilst having my earpiece plugged in, I stole a peek at their faces.

I gasped in silence. They were so hot and handsome, making the rest of the guys on board looked ugly and in need of artificial alterations to their faces.

I tried to take occasional glances discreetly behind my shades. Speaking of which, they had their shades on too, and that made them even more smouldering hot. We hardly ever see local guys looking this good.

I could not tell if the forth guy was a teenager or a kid. He gave me the impression that he is a teenager yet to hit puberty stage. Just a few days back, he had already gotten my attention at Ion Orchard's Topman. So much of a coincidence that I bumped into him again today, but this time, it was at Marina Square's Topman.

The very last guy was a more ordinary-looking guy. What made him stand out were his considerably massive biceps and flawless skin.

What better ways to make my day a great one?
(I didn't proofread this post, so pardon me.)

Bloody ridiculous.

Remember I mentioned a din few nights back? It was a fire drill, I swear.

Guess who now?

Living in delusion.

Stop it with the racket.

What's with all the din in school at such an ungodly hour?! People like me seek solace when the night settles for the day. I wish for no distraction.

Peace out!

Drama falala.

A simple life made complex. Today was checkered day.

I checked it again.

I haven't stopped pondering over my one and only distinction. The more I think about it, the more unbelievable it sounds to me. Achieving distinctions to the world and his wife could be like brushing their teeth, but to me, it is like a routine gambler winning a lottery after ten years of constant investment. Getting an A is almost out of the question, let alone a distinction. It is so unthinkable to me. It is a consolation to my results.

Something brown.

I have been awake for less than nine hours, but I am turning in now. I just threw up something brown. The sight of it was revolting. I suck.

Are you real?

SHOOT! WAS I IMAGINING THINGS OR DID I REALLY GET MYSELF A DISTINCTION FOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS 1?!
Those hotties armed themselves with acoustic guitars this week.

Today was nothing like a strum on the guitar. As a matter of fact, it was quite the contrary, what with all the trekking and sighting. We would not be the earthlings you know if we actually arrived at the entrance of Singapore Zoological Gardens right smack on time.

The Zoo would have been submerged in peaceable surroundings if not for St. Anthony's Primary School kiddos. They were like all over the place, I was beginning to ponder if they were deployed to invade the Zoo.

Despite being born in the year of monkey, I was least interested in the primates. Call me disrespectful towards our ancestral beings, but I have always preferred the cat family.

We went for the animal show and it was great, not entirely because of the performance they intended to showcase, but the Caucasian guy they picked out amongst the audience to join in the fun. He was extremely sporting, taking off his shirt upon a request, arousing the crowd (little kids, apparently) and flexing his muscles. He pretty much reminded me of Hugh Jackman twenty years ago. In case it isn't obvious enough, I was actually complimenting that guy. So don't get me wrong, it is definitely not an insulting remark towards Hugh Jackman.

After the display of animals, we have the privilege to go up on stage and get ourselves a picture with the crew and a boa constrictor. I thought I might as well step out of my familiarity zone and do something out of the ordinary.

Adz and Ben were not gutsy enough to join us, so Mas, Cryst and I went ahead without them. Funny how I am surprised Ben found a distressing emotion towards snakes, but well, everyone has their own fears.

I asked for the snake to be placed on my shoulder and I would not say a sudden urge of boldness rushed up my head and robbed my sanity. I refused to touch its tail and I will not be able to get over it if I were to leave the stage without any physical contact with that reptile. Besides, since I have already decided I am keen on touching the snake, I could just go a little further by having the snake on my shoulder.

Actually, that was not the hardest part. What made me churn on the inside was when I tried to glide my fingers across the skin. I thought I pulled away instinctively with the slightest jerk, unnoticeably with naked eye, when I felt the rubbery texture beneath my fingers.

After the picture was captured, I glanced at Adz and Ben who were still seated on the bench, and pointed my finger at them, as if announcing victory. I was mouthing, "Beat that!", but it was probably only loud enough for Mas and Cryst to hear it.

We lingered around for quite a bit before heading to Kidz World for our late lunch. Our young hearts burst out of chest when we were goofing around the playing area after a hearty meal. We were clinging ourselves here, and balancing ourselves there.

All worn out as the sun sets in, it was almost time for us to head back down South. We sang National Day songs to keep us going and I must say, it did make the journey back on foot faster than I expected.

What an adventurous day!

Season IX.

In my personal opinion, American Idol current top eight male contestants are perfect. I like each individual, Tim, Alex and Aaron in particular. Can all of them make it to next round and never be eliminated?

I will be on that yacht.

I was intending to do up a chronological post, but having the time in mind, I shall either put that on hold or never to do it.

Mountains of mountains.

Do you know how sad it is to feel so alone at night even your thoughts echo in the empty room?

I pray for a stormless night.

I am crossing my fingers for thunders to stay at bay, for it is different from before.
